Come on in……away from the edge and into the land of apple farming today.
Travel off the beaten track around the laneways where family farmsteads sit on every turn. The Autumn colours of September are appearing and in County Armagh the annual harvesting of the world famous Bramley cooking apple is taking place. It’s a case of all hands to the deck as families work round the clock to bring in the apple harvest.
Make a family or friends group trip together by minibus (essential for narrow roads) to Portadown where I can step on and share my homeland as we tour the narrow roads around the orchards of County Armagh. An opportunity to drive through an apple grower’s farm to see and hear about the specialist work in growing healthy apples.
Finish tour in one of our beautiful village pub restaurants, taste some of our locally Armagh produced cider and enjoy highly commended local food OR enjoy afternoon tea at one of our country house B & B’s, local hotels or bring a family picnic. Help with choosing your evening or midday restaurant is available.
